Katie Wechsler

Katie is a partner in KPMG’s Bay Area Life Sciences Audit practice. She has over 20 years of experience working for KPMG in the U.S., the U.K., and Switzerland, serving a wide range of companies, both listed and private.

Professional and Industry Experience

Katie has extensive experience managing the audits of multinational companies within the life sciences, consumer markets, and technology sectors. Her existing client base includes both public and private Life Sciences companies reporting under U.S. GAAP and IFRS.

Katie has assisted the companies she serves in providing a variety of audit-related services, including:

• Preparing for and becoming a public company whether through a traditional Initial Public Offering or via a merger with a Special Purpose Acquisition Company
• The issuance of comfort letters and consents
• Assisting companies in responding to SEC comment letters
• The provision of accounting advisory services including interacting with KPMG’s national office, when required
• Experience auditing internal controls over financial reporting, including first-year implementation
• Accounting for acquisitions and leading opening balance sheet audits
• Agreed-upon procedures.
