Jonathan D. Weinberg

Jonathan currently serves as KPMG’s State Tax Resource Network representative for Maryland.
Based in Tysons Corner, Virginia and serving clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic area, Jonathan has over eighteen years’ experience in advising his clients on state and local tax matters. Previously, Jonathan was with KPMG in the New York City office and was a State Tax Resource Network representative for New York State and City. His experience includes working with large clients on multistate income tax restructuring projects, including refund analysis and revision of existing corporate structures, VDAs, and large RAR reporting projects. Jonathan also has significant experience in state tax controversy matters and has represented clients before state taxing authorities in audits and administrative appeals.
Jonathan has lectured at internal KPMG trainings and tax summits, and he also has spoken at external events at professional tax organizations. While pursuing his J.D. at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, he served as the editor of the Canada-United States Law Journal.
