Justin Weiss focuses on tax consulting and provision work with financial services entities and treasury functions. He has many years of experience in tax planning and consulting, controversy support, tax compliance, provision preparation, and provision review for both public and privately held clients. This work includes significant experience serving banks, investment partnerships, asset managers, captive finance companies and treasury functions of nonfinancial enterprises. In this capacity, he has worked closely with local and global leaders of the tax and treasury functions as well as C-level executives.

As a leader in the Treasury Tax Services practice, Justin regularly helps companies transform funding, liquidity, and risk management functions, balancing tax considerations with business objections and operational, and regulatory constraints. This work has included assistance with the assessment, design, and implementation of many cross-border hedging and cash pooling programs, spanning the automotive, technology, energy and natural resources, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, financial services, travel, and retail industries.

Justin has worked with leading global companies as they established new entities, banking and capital market relationships, intercompany transactions, treasury governance structures, and pricing methodologies, in support of enhanced treasury effectiveness and in response to market and law changes. Justin’s related work has included many years working with a fully integrated in-house bank, cash pool, payment factory, and investment structure, managing tens of billions of dollars across the globe.

Justin is a frequent speaker and author on financial products and treasury tax issues and trends. He is a certified public accountant in California. He hold a BA degree in business economics from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Masters Business Taxation degree from the University of Southern California.
