Bob Wilkerson, resident in the firm's Atlanta office, has extensive experience advising both U.S. and foreign multinationals in a wide variety of industries. He has advised clients on:

  • Structuring and implementing cross-border financing planning and Treasury Centers
  • Structuring and implementing cross-border acquisitions, dispositions, and restructurings and post-acquisition business integrations
  • Structuring offshore operations and foreign tax credit planning for U.S. multinational companies, with extensive work for companies with excess foreign tax credits and overall foreign losses
  • Structuring private equity and alternative investments for U.S. and foreign investors, private equity firms, and sovereign wealth funds, including the application of U.S. income tax treaties.

Prior to joining KPMG, Bob was a tax partner in the Washington, DC office of a New York-based law firm.

Bob is a frequent speaker on international tax matters before such groups as the International Fiscal Association, the Tax Executives Institute, the DC Bar Tax Section, and the International Tax Institute. He is a member of the Tax Sections of both the American Bar Association and the DC Bar Association as well as the Atlanta Steering Committee of the International Fiscal Association.

Bob received his BBA degree in finance from the University of Mississippi and his JD degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law. He received his LLM degree in taxation from New York University School of Law.
