Candice has 15 years of experience working with global mining and energy companies. She began her career in the engineering consulting industry, designing and constructing brownfield and greenfield projects in the oil and gas, petrochemicals and power sectors. Candice has a proven track record working with large global companies to undertake business process assurance, design and optimization projects; develop predictive solutions for operations and supply chain activities; and implement technology solutions to improve performance.

Professional and Industry experience

Candice has worked in both private and government sector, providing service in our deal advisory and management consulting practices.

  • Policy and Process review, benchmark and design for an energy trading risk function.
  • Management of an economic fund for power projects in Africa, including technical and financial evaluations of tenders, tracking of disbursements and project progress, development of marketing materials to showcase innovative business models and success stories to build sentiment and support by donors.
  • Deal Advisory services for the development of a government funded broadband network; this included modelling of the proposed network, financial review, economic benefits analysis and the development of a feasibility study for the broadband project.
  • Development of value propositions to address procurement structuring, integrated demand management and cost optimisation.
  • Deal advisory services to develop a Demand Side Management Programme for South Africa. This programme encompassed Energy Efficiency, Demand Response and Demand Side Management measures, development of technical solutions for these measures and procurement of these initiatives.
  • Due diligence for the assessment of multiple projects and facilities within a client’s portfolio, as part of a carve out.
  • Project Management and Projects Controls review of a Chemical project in Louisiana. Reviews included assessment of procurement activities and estimating activities with regard to the forecast budgets. Reviews also include technical reviews including assessment of quality control measures and alignment of the project strategy with corporate expectations.
  • EPC and FEED designs of chemical and petrochemical facilities in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Australia and Malaysia
  • Market development and account development for multiple energy client in the US and South Africa
