Christina is a Senior Manager with KPMG LLP’s Global Export Controls & Sanctions practice located in the Washington D.C. / Tysons Corner office. She has over 15 years of experience in global trade strategy, international trade compliance, export controls, sanctions, and supply chain operations. Christina advises clients in various industries, including aerospace and defense, technology, telecommunications, energy, pharmaceutical/life sciences, and consumer goods.

Professional and industry experience

Christina advises clients on international trade and export control related requirements, with a focus on regulatory compliance (ITAR, EAR, economic sanctions) and global trade compliance requirements as part of M&A, post-merger, integration, and value chain alignment activities, among many others. She previously worked at another Big 4 firm as well as at a large multinational law firm in Washington D.C. and spent numerous years in defense industry focused on ITAR, EAR, and economic sanctions.

Christina’s representative experience includes: 

  • Leading global teams in support of trade transformation for US and multinational companies to identify operational and compliance risk and drive transformation
  • Developing and implementing global trade internal controls, organizational structures and technology solutions
  • Conducting compliance audits, risk assessments, and developing risk/gap mitigation plans to mitigate unnecessary risk
  • Designing and drafting global trade compliance management policies, procedures, licensing, classification, and related internal controls
  • Identifying, designing, and implementing global trade automation software, including SAP GTS, Oracle GTM, etc.), in addition to global trade technology related to restricted party screening, import/export licensing, compliance management, and transportation management solutions
  • Managing global trade compliance requirements as part of M&A and post-merger, CFIUS, and FOCI-mitigation requirements
  • Developing bespoke training tailored to compliance and risk requirements
  • Counseling clients on US and Chinese regulatory requirements, including strategies to reduce adverse impact to the company’s interests
