Delgerbat is a Managing Director in KPMG Strategy with experience working on various M&A and value creation engagements including: operational value creation due diligence (synergy and standalone performance improvement); carve-out support & diligence; business plan projection diligence; global logistics and distribution optimization; manufacturing plant diligence; and financial due diligence.

Delgerbat is also experienced in supporting and delivering engagements in the sign-to-close and post-close phase, including carve-out modeling; synergy planning workshops & synergy tracking; target operating model planning; and future state risk identification.

Professional and Industry Experience

  • Led synergy assessment team in a combination of two publicly traded electrical and networking distribution companies ($16b combined revenue). Delgerbat led and analyzed synergies across 6 workstreams with client leadership teams and ultimately identified over $300m in synergies. This enabled our client to win an auction with a financial buyer 
  • Managed a full-scale buy-side operational & commercial diligence of a beauty contract manufacturer. Opportunities identified represented 20% EBITDA and was supported by detailed transactional analysis and production site visit assessments. Led commercial diligence of the Target’s biggest customers leveraging and blending third party big data (e.g. GPS tracking, TomTom drive time) with Target operational data. This enabled the Client and its creditors to assess the large customer 
  • Led the buy-side diligence for a 600 unit operator of veterinarian clinic locations. Identified over 20% EBITDA improvement opportunities ranging from procurement efficiencies, staffing model restricting, re-assessing pricing to be in line with market and back office G&A efficiencies 
  • A $2b chemicals Client was looking to acquire to one of its biggest competitors to become the biggest players in the market. KPMG was engaged to conduct operational diligence and synergy assessment to get board approval and lending. Delgerbat owned and drove analysis related to SG&A third-party spend synergies and created a synergy tracking template post-sign 
  • A Boston based PE fund was looking to acquire a full service restaurant (FSR) franchisor who owns its own manufacturing plants. Delgerbat was deployed to manufacturing plants for tours and detailed analysis of 4-wall operations. Delgerbat created a 4-pillar manufacturing assessment framework, which became IVD’s “best-in-class” template for 4-wall assessments
  • A Chicago based PE fund was looking to complement their existing platform company in the software-as-a-service industry with the acquisition of a key competitor. KPMG was engaged to complete synergy assessment and operational diligence with a primary focus on revenue implications. Delgerbat drove the headcount rationalization and cross-sell synergy analysis 
  • A European automotive parts supplier was looking to enter the US market by acquiring a US supplier. Delgerbat led an integrated Commercial and Operational diligences to develop a perspective on the potential risks and opportunities
